Our candles are travel-inspired, meaning each scent is inspired by a different location around the world. They are based on real memories taking elements from each destination as inspiration. We use soy wax and wooden wicks to create a clean, long-lasting burn. Additionally, 10% of our proceeds go towards a sustainable tourism charity, so you can feel good about supporting a great cause while enjoying our candles.

We offer a variety of scents inspired by different locations around the world. Some examples include Seville, New York, Marrakech, Santorini and more. Most scents are available in full-sized and travel-sized candles, diffusers and refills.

When it comes to mass retailers, unfortunately the term “eco-friendly” is often overused and used incorrectly. However, as a smaller business we do try our best to be as mindful as possible when it comes to sustainable materials and practices. For example, we use soy wax, which is a renewable resource that burns cleanly and has a lower environmental impact than traditional paraffin wax. We also use FSC-certified wooden wicks, which are made from sustainably sourced wood and create a beautiful, crackling flame. We ensure our frafrances are cruelty-free. And we try our best to ensure as little plastic is used in our packaging as possible.
-
Our full-sized candles have a burn time of approximately 50-55 hours. And our travel-sized candles have a burn time of approximately 20-22 hours. Diffusers should last up to 3 months. Once finished, you can top up with any of our refill products.

Soy wax has many benefits, such as:
Soy wax burns on average 40-50% slower than paraffin wax, resulting in long-lasting candles and giving you better value for money.
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans, making it a natural product made from renewable sources. Unlike paraffin wax which relies in our dwindling supply of crude oil.
Soy wax is softer, making it easier to repurpose your vessel once the candle has burned down.
Soy wax is clean burning and doesn't release toxins, carcinogens or pollutants (like you get from paraffin candles), which means it's less likely to trigger allergies.
-
Just like you, our natural soy wax candles have memories too... The first burn creates a wax pattern or “memory” for each subsequent burn. It will determine how your candle will melt for the rest of its life. Burn the candle for at least two hours on the first burn, or until the entire surface has melted, to prevent tunneling. Please see the bottom of your candle for warnings and proper burning instructions.
-
You may notice a “frosted” or bumpy look on the wax. Since our candles are natural soy wax, we do not add harmful chemicals and preservatives that would normally prevent this. Although we do quality test in production, the temperature shifts from shipping to your home may affect this. It is completely normal in soy wax and has no effect on the burn quality of your candle.

Wooden wicks are made from natural, untreated wood and are used to create a unique, crackling flame.

For first time or longtime users, it’s a truly unique experience with a modern appeal an intriguing visual aesthetic.
There are multiple reasons to choose wooden wicks, including visual aesthetic and optimal performance. They achieve a more even pool formation for quick and excellent hot throw, with no mushrooming with little carbon buildup. Simply trim before each new burn. Our wicks are sourced from suppliers that stock only wicks manufactured from FSC-certified mills (Forest Stewardship Council).
-
To ensure an even burn, trim the wick to approximately 4mm before lighting. Burn the candle for at least two hours on the first burn, or until the entire surface has melted, to prevent tunneling. Always burn candles on a heat-resistant surface and never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
After each burn, trim the wick to 1/4 inch (or about 4mm) and remove any debris from the wax pool. To prevent tunneling, burn the candle for at least two hours on the first burn or until the entire surface has melted. If the flame is too high, extinguish the candle and trim the wick before relighting.
-
Just like a classic cotton wick, you’ll need to trim your wooden wick before every burn. If you don’t, you may struggle to keep your wick remaining lit, or if already lit it can cause a flame too big. The advised height for a wooden wicks is approximately 4mm, which is shorter than you would typically trim your cotton wicks. The shorter height allows the wax and oil to pull up into the wick to feed the flame properly. Test burns have already been conducted to determine the proper width and thickness of the wooden wick, so all you have to do is keep trimming for ongoing maintenance.
-
Although all of our products are rigorously burn tested, sometimes in rare occasions wooden wicks can take multiple attempts to light. This is often not a result of a faulty wick or product. And it’s not your fault either! A wooden wick has a natural and organic surface area and the fire needs to work through the wood to get a good flame going (similar to a campfire’s wood).
Troubleshooting: Make sure your wick is trimmed. Light the wick from both corners for about 10-15 seconds – ensure you see the flame when you set it down on a flat surface. It may be low, but still let it sit. If you’re still having issues, also try melting just a little bit of wax next to the wick so that it can start traveling up the wooden wick to feed the flame. If you still cannot resolve the issue, please contact us directly.
-
If the flame is too small, try trimming the wick to 1/4 inch (or 4mm) and relighting. If that doesn't work, use a wick trimmer to remove any excess wick and try again.
Do keep in mind, that even though the flame is a bit smaller for this burn, it can still be mighty and often won’t actually affect the burn through rate. You may want to leave you candle burning for at least an hour to see if it is still releasing fragrance normally. If not, follow the above instructions for trimming the wick.

Although we aren’t an official charity partner (yet!), we donate 10% of our candle profits directly to The Travel Foundation, a sustainable tourism charity, on a quarterly basis.

Yes, we recommend refilling your candle. It’s a great way to pick up your favourite again or try a new destination. See here for refill options and guidance on how to clean out your vessel.
The vessel can also be reused for other purposes once the candle has burned down. Simply clean out any remaining wax and wick debris and repurpose the jar as desired.

Sustainable tourism is a type of tourism that focuses on preserving natural and cultural resources, while also providing economic benefits to local communities. It involves minimizing the negative impacts of tourism on the environment, society, and economy, while maximizing the positive impacts.
-
Sustainable tourism is important because traditional tourism can have negative impacts on the environment, culture, and economy of a destination. It can lead to environmental degradation, loss of cultural heritage, and exploitation of local communities. Sustainable tourism seeks to minimize these negative impacts and create a more positive and sustainable tourism industry. It can also provide economic benefits to local communities and promote conservation efforts, leading to a more sustainable future for all.
