Smelling Seville…

As a small business owner who specializes in creating handcrafted candles, I am always looking for ways to capture the essence of the places that have inspired me personally on my own travels. One of my favourite places I was instantly inspired by is the city of Seville, Spain.

Seville is a city with a rich history, vibrant culture, and beautiful architecture. It is known for its many orange trees, which fill the air with the sweet and floral scent of oranges and orange blossom. It is also home to vibrant markets and food stalls, where the aroma of sweet herbs and spices fills the air.

As I set out to create a candle that evokes the city of Seville, I wanted to capture all of these elements in a single, complex and inviting aroma. I began with a seeking a middle note, also known as the heart, of an orange tree, which provides a citrusy, sweet and floral scent that is both refreshing and relaxing. For the top note, amber was the perfect way to give the candle a rich and earthy aroma that evokes the city's vibrant heritage. Finally, I know a base note of wood and musk, which provide a warm and masculine scent to balance the sweetness and evoke the city's rich history and its many museums, galleries, and historic buildings.

The result is a candle that captures the essence of the city of Seville and its many charms. It has a complex and layered aroma that is both inviting and relaxing. It evokes feelings of comfort, nostalgia, and tranquility, and transports the senses to the beautiful and vibrant city of Seville.
